K P Ranjith triumphs

Coffee Cup 2024 organized by a group of like-minded persons was recently held at Coorg Golf Links (CGL), Bittangala. 76 keen golfers participated in the prestigious and popular event in the calendar of CGL. 

K P Ranjith won the coveted open stroke play event with a gross score of 80. Cmde Bopanna K A was declared the runner up with a gross score of 81.

Handicap Stableford Over 18 holes (0-18) : Winner : Subbaiah K U (34 points)

Runner-Up : Sanjay Dsouza (34 points)

Handicap Stableford Over 18 holes (19-24) : Winner : Bharath Mandana (41 points)

Runner-Up : Col Subbayya (34 points)

Handicap Stableford Over 18 holes for veterans (Above 65 yrs)(0-24) –  Winner : N N Madappa (33 points)

Runner-Up:  Viswanath M M (32 points)

Best Lady Golfer Handicap Stableford Over 18 holes (0-24) –  Winner :  Priya Kushalappa (26 points)

Second Shot Closest to Pin – Winner (16th hole) Winner  : Chengappa  K.K (3FT 8 INCHES)

Closest to Pin : Winner (2ND HOLE)

Winner  : Kaushik Kariappa (10ft 9 inches)

Closest to Crooked Line – Winner (18th HOLE) Winner  : Suresh M ( 2 INCHES)

The prize distribution ceremony was held at the club house of CGL. Captain of CGL Bharath Mandanna, Hon Secretary of the club Maj B A Nanjappa, Tournament Committee Chairman Lt Col Bharat Chevur, Kanma Kalaiah representing the organisers and Vikash M J of Akshay Motors, Mysore were present on the dais. Bharath Mandanna welcomed the gathering. 

Lt Col Bharat Chevur announced the names of the winners. Bharath Mandanna, Kanma Kalaiah and Vikash M J gave away the prizes. Maj B A Nanjappa proposed the vote of thanks.
