Accused no 14 Pradosh, who was arrested in connection with Renukaswamy’s murder had a close relationship with BJP leaders alleged MLA A S Ponnanna recently while speaking to the media persons.

He also said that there is a possibility that the BJP itself will pressurize the police in favour of the accused which should be investigated.

Ponnanna, who is also the chief minister’s legal advisor, said Darshan has many followers even amongst politicians, police and officers. The details on who exerted pressure on the police will only be known after the investigation, he added.

The MLA congratulated the police for not succumbing to any pressure. Reacting to allegations that Congress is trying to save Darshan, the MLA said, it is the culture of BJP to protect accused and criminals. JD(S) issued Prajwal Revanna a ticket despite knowing everything about him, he added.
