In the recently held all India Sainik Inter-Schools (Group-H) football tournament at Sainik School in Kodagu Kalikiri, Kazhakootam Kerala and Amravatinagar Sainik School teams emerged as champions for the year 2024-25.
Cadet M G Dikshitha of KalikiriSainik School from the girls’ team, Cadet Krishnakanth of Sainik School, Kazhakootam from the junior section and M P Deepak of Sainik School, Amravatinagar from the sub-junior team were selected as the best players in the tournament.
The students of Sainik School Kazhakootam (Kerala), Amaravatinagar (Tamil Nadu) Sainik School, Kalikeri (Andhra Pradesh) Sainik School, Amaravatinagar (Tamil Nadu) Sainik School and the host school Kodagu Sainik School participated in the tournament.
Chief Guest, Wing Commander P. Prakash Rao, Principal-in-charge of Kodagu Sainik School, who spoke on the occasion and congratulated all the teams for their spirited display of skill, teamwork and sportsmanship till the final stages of the tournament. He advised all the participants to continue to uphold the values of sportsmanship, integrity and camaraderie. Vibin Kumar, senior teacher of Sainik School in Kodagu, team managers of all participating schools, faculty and staff members, NCC staff, physical education teachers and all students were present.
