Aadya R.A. Singh, a student of Coorg Public School, who is carving a name for herself in the growing sport of surfing in India. Aadya is training under the guidance of the Surfing Swami Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing ocean-based sports across the country.
Her training is based at the Mantra Surf Club in Mangalore, Karnataka – India’s first surf club and a hub for budding surfers. Aadya has participated in various prestigious competitions and has consistently demonstrated remarkable skill, commitment, and sportsmanship.

She had taken part in the Indian Open of Surfing (2024), Mangalore and had reached the Semifinals in the Under-16 Girls category. When most students spent their summer vacation at home, Aadya Sing was found gliding across the waves participating in the International Surfing Festival in Varkala, Kerala in April 2025 and competed in the Open Women’s Division. In May 2025, she was part of the Tipi Jabrik’s Grom Patrol India, Mangalore where she bagged the second position in both Under 16 and Under 18 Girls category. She has now reached the Semifinals in Open Women’s Division after winning the second place in Under 16 Category at the Indian Open Surfing- Mangalore Region.

Aadya is not only pursuing a sport that is still emerging in the Indian athletic scene but also excelling in it with confidence and grace. Her achievements speak volumes about her dedication and the structured training she receives. She is an inspiration to all students and a reminder that when we follow our dreams with determination, the sky-or in her case, the sea-is the limit.
