New MP of Mysore-Kodagu Lok Sabha constituency, Yaduveer Wodeyar, offered a special pooja at Talakaveri, the source of River Cauvery and Sri Bhagandeshwara temple in Bhagamandala.
BJP members accorded a grand welcome to Yaduveer at Kodagu border near Koppa, who arrived in Kodagu district for the first time after winning as an MP. Later MP went to Talacauvery, Bhagamandala and offered pooja.
After proceeding to Napoklu, he offered pooja at Sri Bhagavathy temple and held a meeting of BJP workers in the temple hall. Expressing gratitude to the leaders and activists who worked hard for their victory, he promised to emphasize development works as per the expectations of the people of the district.
Yaduveer also visited the Padi Sri Iggutthappa temple and offered pooja and consulted with the temple management and the villagers.
Responding to a question from journalists in Kushalanagar, he promised to be committed to the conservation and sanctity of river Cauvery.
MLC Suja Kushalappa, district BJP president Napanda Ravi Kalappa, Mahila Morcha president Anita Poovaiah, former MLA Appachchu Ranjan, office bearers of various party heads and other prominent people were present on the occasion.
