Muddanda family members said that efforts are underway to ensure that this year’s Kodava Family Hockey Tournament enters the Guinness World Records. They said that over 400 teams and more than 8,000 players are expected to take part in the hockey festival. Teams can register by logging onto the website.

Muddanda Family Sports and Cultural Charitable Trust president Muddanda Rashin Subbaiah appealed to all to make the event a huge success. Kodava Hockey Academy president Pandanda Bopanna said that around eight families had come forward to organise the hockey festival until 2033. We hope more teams will participate this year and create a Guinness record.

Muddanda B Devaiah said that this time, there are plans to organise innovative programmes, including women’s hockey.
