Captain’s Cup Golf Tournament – Mandanna C.T. Wins Open Stroke Play Title

The 16th edition of the Captain’s Cup 2024 was recently held at the Mercara Downs Golf Club (MDGC), with 34 club members participating in the tournament.

In the highly anticipated Open Stroke Play event, Mandanna C.T. emerged as the winner, while I.K. Anil secured the runner-up position.

Tournament Results:

Open Stroke Play (0-14 Handicap) Winner: Mandanna C.T

Runner-up: I.K. Anil

Handicap Stroke Play (0-18 Handicap) Winner: Channaraj Mahendra

Runner-up:C.S. Dhananjaya

Handicap Stableford (19-24 Handicap) Winner: Ashok P.C

Runner-up: M.A. Ganesh

Seniors Handicap Stableford (Full Handicap, 65 years and above) Winner: Prakash D.K

Runner-up: Roy Chengappa

Seniors Open Stroke Play (60 years and above) Winner: I.K. Anil

Runner-up: P.E. Kalaiah

Ladies Handicap Stableford (0-36 Handicap) Winner: Alisha Thimmaiah

Runner-up: Mrinalini

The prize distribution ceremony took place at the MDGC clubhouse. Club Captain I.K. Anil welcomed the gathering and addressed the attendees.  K.P. Ranjith announced the winners, while I.K. Anil and P.E. Kalaiah presented the prizes. Harish Appanna proposed the vote of thanks.
