Coorg Blasters emerged champions with a 28-run victory in the leather ball “Kodava Cricket Premier League” final match organised recently by the Coorg Cricket Foundation at the General Thimayya District Stadium in Madikeri.The team CoorgUnited were the runners up.
Coorg United won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, the Coorg Blasters scored 117 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in 10 overs. Chasing this, the Coorg United team scored 89 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 10 overs and conceded defeat.Â
Coorg Blasters’ CA Karthik scored 95 runs off 35 balls and won the man of the match award. Coorg Blasters received a cash prize of 1.50lakhs and attractive trophy while runner up team Coorg United team received 75 thousand rupees cash and an attractive trophy.

Poovayya with 8 wickets was the best bowler, M A Thimmaiah of Coorg Blasters team was the best wicket keeper, Shipraj Somanna of MTB team was the best catcher of the tournament and Wild Flower team received the best disciplined team award.
