The Kodagu district police have succeeded in arresting Girish, the accused who brutally murdered four people including his wife in Begur village under Ponnampet police station limits, in a speedy operation.
The district police’s special investigation team has taken Girish (38) into custody in the Thalapuzha area of Kerala state. The Ponnampet police had registered a case on the charge that Girish had murdered Kariya (75), Gauri (70), Nagi (30) and Nagi’s daughter Kaveri (7) of the tribal community who lived in a lonely hut in Balangadu village of Begur village and had absconded.
The murder came to light when fellow workers came near the house after noticing their absence from work in the noon.
Mysore South Zone IPS Dr. M.B. Boraligaiah, Kodagu District Superintendent of Police K. The accused Girish is Nagi’s third husband and they had been living together for a year. A preliminary investigation has revealed that Girish murdered four people on the night of March 27, suspecting that Nagi was having another relationship with her second husband, Subramani, a police release said.
