It is reported that a case has been registered in Bylakuppe police station against a son who killed his mother for money. The incident occurred in Navilur village of Piriyapatna taluk. The accused Swami who repeatedly harassed his mother to give him the Rs 90,000, which she had kept with her for treatment of her husband after selling cattle. It is reported that her husband was suffering from some lung disease.
Police assume that the accused killed her by hitting her on her head , when his father went to the hospital for treatment. Police have arrested the accused Swami and further investigation is going on.
