It was an evening of revelation and admiration hosting an extraordinary individual, Dr. Rajah Vijay Kumar. What began as a casual visit turned into an inspiring encounter with a man whose life journey is nothing short of remarkable.
Dr. Rajah Vijay Kumar Kt. OMS., D.Sc., MBA., MIEEE., FUWA., MACS., MACM., MGSA., MAAAS., F.G.S (Ind.) a renowned world scientist born in Bangalore to an engineering couple, began his advanced academic path with a bachelor’s degree in physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. While his initial ambition after graduation was to complete law and pursue a political career, destiny had other plans, steering him towards the scientific world. He earned a master’s degree in Microelectronics and a Doctor of Science in Medical Engineering. He further honed his expertise with an MBA in Corporate Crisis Management. He is an accomplished crisis manager, and a Ford Foundation Certified Critical Negotiator.
Fluent in German, Dr. Vijay Kumar secured a position with a German/Hungarian sports engineering company, where he made significant contributions to the way sports and games events were conducted with his hidden talent as a national gymnast. His work included delivering precision data and visual graphics for global sporting events like FIFA and World Cup tournaments across countries. However, the relentless global travel eventually prompted him to return to India with a vision: to bring international recognition to his homeland through groundbreaking innovations.
As the Group Chairman of Organization De Scalene, Dr. Vijay Kumar has pioneered research and development across a diverse range of fields, including Biophysics, Radio biology, Nanotechnology, Sustainable Energy, Water Recovery Management, Applied Chemistry, Geology and Medical Engineering. He has worked over thirty years on regenerative tissue re-engineering and high-speed biological data acquisition, modelling and simulation of human cardiovascular system and neural networks in medical diagnosis and engineering. Among many patents held by him, Realistic Geometry Cartographic Imaging (RGCI) finds applications from medical science to tsunami detection. His work on Nanotechnology has triggered a new technique in selective tissue destruction with a ‘Nanoblaster’ is under laboratory trials. His most notable achievement is Cytotron technology, which employs Fast Radio Burst, a type of radio frequency Waves where electrical and magnetic component of the electromagnetic field are circularly polarized to alter the hydrogen bonds in cellular DNA, preventing the unchecked multiplication of cells and providing a non-invasive, pain-free treatment of solid tumors. In 2019 Cytotron technology was designated as a Breakthrough in Liver, Pancreas and Breast cancer treatment by United States Food and Drugs Administration (USFDA). He holds the status of ‘Inventor Extraordinaire’ for his subject agnostic original inventions to solve multiple human issues.
He is an advisor for International Organisation for educational development an UN organisation for environment, tourism, culture and art. He has many publications both in medical and engineering journals of repute. He is the author of the book ‘Cytonics – a mystery of the living cell’.
In addition to his contributions to medical science, Dr. Vijay Kumar has turned his attention to agriculture where he grew around 1000 Arabica coffee plants at his Bangalore campus for research purposes, and later a coffee plantation near Hatti hole. He named the estate as Bagavathi in honour of the goddess. This reflects his deep connection to his faith and spirituality.His scientific approach is transforming traditional cultivation practices, offering innovative solutions in nutrient management, organic pest control, water recovery systems, and mechanized robotic harvesting method. His invention of Hypersonic Precipitation producing nano particles of water for irrigation will drastically reduce water requirements for crop cultivation in future. The new Photon Mediated Electron based deweeder would be a boon to the farmers to shift from chemical weeding and reduce cultivation cost. Furthermore, his invention of biomolecularized trace elements infused into coffee beans is set to revolutionize the coffee industry, positioning India as a global pioneer in this domain.
What struck me most during our interaction was not just Dr. Vijay Kumar’s impressive accomplishments, but his humility and generosity. With a deep understanding of human health and agriculture, he shared invaluable insights into cellular behavior, disease prevention, and plant immunity. His dedication to enhancing human life and advancing sustainable farming practices is both inspiring and transformative. Furthermore, he has come up with an innovative and economically sustainable solutions to safeguard the western ghats by eliminating the invasive weed Lantana camara and whereby prevent animal human conflict. His ‘MicrobialEnzymatic Gold Nuggetization’ process in extraction of Gold is on the way to add to national economic value. His new invention called “Trunk Call” a device designed to communicate with elephants will soon be field trailed. He holds more than 172 intellectual properties worldwide in diverse fields, making him one of the living polymaths of the planet.
Married to Rajani Bharatimangalam an engineer, Vijay is influenced and aided by her in his social responsibility and generous activities. Soon, Vijay is planning to organize a medical camp in Madapur in collaboration with his medical team from Bangalore, focused on screening for the early detection of breast cancer.
