Villagers panic after sighting tiger

The villagers of Channapura in the Gowdalli Gram Panchayat limits recently spotted a tiger which has set panic among them.

It has been reported by the eyewitnesses that the tiger was spotted at around 8 pm on the road near the village lake and alerted the Forest department. Later, the next day, Deputy Range Forest officer Surya and his team from the Shanivarasanthe Forest Department visited the village and confirmed the presence of the tiger based on the big cat’s pug marks. Subsequently, CCTV cameras were installed along the road to monitor the tiger’s movements.

MLA Dr Manthar Gowda instructed the forest officials to take measures to ensure the safety of the residents.

Somwarpet RFO Shailendra visited the spot and asked the locals to remain cautious.
