The newly constructed Anganwadi building at Karmadu Gram Panchayat, Virajpet Taluk, built under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA), was inaugurated by A.S. Ponnanna, MLA of Virajpet and Chief Minister’s Legal Advisor.
Speaking at the event, MLA Ponnanna emphasized the pivotal role of Anganwadi centers in providing early childhood education. “These centers play a vital role in the physical and intellectual development of children. Anganwadi workers and helpers bear the responsibility of nurturing future generations,” he said.
Encouraging the public to enroll more children, he described Anganwadi centers as the foundations of a child’s future. He also highlighted that the construction of well-equipped Anganwadi buildings is being undertaken in coordination with the Child Development Department as part of MGNREGA’s rural development efforts.
