It is our responsibility to respect  the soldiers…MP Yaduveer Wodeyar

Thousands of people participated in the Sindoor Vijayotsava procession organised by the Sindoor Vijayotsava Committee despite the pouring rain. The procession proceeded to Gandhi Maidan from Bannimantapadi  near AV School, Madikeri.

The soldiers of the Indian Army, who were responsible for the successful Operation Sindoor against Pakistan-sponsored terrorists, were paid tribute in Madikeri through ‘Sindoor Vijayotsava’. The public marched along with national flags displaying posters saying ‘Ten thousand salutes to the Indian Army’. Retired officers and soldiers of the Indian Army walked with their titles and bats. The 300-foot long national flag in the procession attracted attention.

Speaking at a meeting held at Gandhi Maidan, Kottukathir Somanna, President of the Kodagu district unit of the All Karnataka Ex-Servicemen’s Association, stated that it is a matter of pride that India has stood tall before the world community today by destroying the bases of the terrorists who killed innocent people and wiped the vermilion off women in Pahalgam and the military bases of Pakistan.

‘Gluttonous Pakistan’ has suffered a humiliating defeat against India in the wars of 1947-48, 1965, 1971 and the Kargil war. Despite this, Pakistan, which has not learned its lesson, is challenging the integrity of India by supporting its cunning terrorists. He stated that the Indian Army has given a befitting reply in response to the Pahalgam attack.

Speaking as the chief guest, Mysore-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Wodeyar stated that the Indian Army has taught a lesson to Pakistan, which was aiding terrorists and committing atrocities in India, through Operation Sindoor. Today, we are happy with our armed forces that are effectively guarding the borders. It is the responsibility of all of us to respect and support the soldiers, he noted.

A famous orator, Vishwa Mohan of Bengaluru, who participated as the chief speaker, stated that a clear message has been sent through Operation Sindoor to a country that is a war-mongering country, which is not going to engage in direct war, but is continuously carrying out atrocities in India by nurturing terrorists within itself.

Full credit for the operation against the terrorist country Pakistan should go to the Indian soldiers. He expressed pride that India has destroyed Pakistan’s military bases today with weapons built with its own capabilities, as per the Centre’s concept of ‘Self-reliant India’. Sindoor Vijayotsava Samiti convener K.K.Dinesh Kumar, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Sangh Chalak Chakkera Manu Kaverappa, District BJP President Napanda Ravi Kalappa, former Z.P. President B.A. Harish, prominent people including Suvin Ganapathy, Talur Kishore Kumar, Kanti Satish, Kukkera Ajith, B.K. Jagadish, R.K. Chandra, Hosur Satish Kumar, Sampath Kumar, Mahesh Jaini and thousands of people from the district participated in the Sindoor Vijayotsava rally.
