The newly constructed ‘Indira Canteen’ in the Government hospital premises of the Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences in Madikeri was inaugurated by Dr. Mantar Gowda, MLA of Madikeri constituency, recently.
Speaking after inaugurating MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda, stated that the Indira Canteen has been started in the hospital premises for the benefit of the public, and the MLA suggested that the public should take advantage of this canteen. It was the long demand to start the canteen in the hospital premises and now it has been commenced, he noted.
The Minister of Urban Development and Municipal Administration has allowed the start of the Indira Canteen. In this regard, it has been started in the hospital premises as per the demand, informed Dr. Mantar Gowda.
MLA also urged that greater emphasis should be placed on cleanliness and environmental cleanliness in the Indira Canteen. He also stated that since a large number of people are visiting the hospital, food should be provided as per the demand.
On the same occasion, Dr. Mantar Gowda flagged off two new vehicles for the convenience of students of the Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences each costing Rs. 27 lakh brought from the CSR fund.
