Dr. Mantar Gowda, MLA from Madikeri assembly constituency speaking after participating in the ‘Ainmane’ program of Arebashe Community held by the Karnataka Arebashe Samskruti and Sahitya Academy at the Ainmane of Kumbhagowda in Makkandur village. Dr. Mantar Gowda, said that in order to preserve and develop the culture and tradition of Arebashe -Community , it should be documented through the Karnataka Arebashe Samskruti and Sahitya Academy.
Kumbhagowda’s family has its own historical background and Ainmane of Kumbhagowda should be preserved . The culture of a village can survive only when the ancient and historical Ainmane culture is preserved and developed. In this regard, MLA said that it is commendable that the Arebashe Community Ainmane program has been organized.
The Arebashe Community Ainmane culture is helpful for everyone to come together. In this regard, he said that more programs should be held in the Madikeri constituency. On the occasion he also said that necessary steps will be taken for the construction of a good road for the area.
Speaking on the occasion, former member of the Vidhan Parishad, Shanteyanda Veena Achaiah, said that she grew up with Arebashe Community members in Aruvattoklu village. Earlier, there were no differences amongst the Arebashe and the Kodavas were. They used to live in a friendly and harmonious manner. But it is saddening to know that difference have cropped up lately.
The natural disaster that occurred in 2018 forced families here to leave their homes. However, they have rebuild their lives without losing hope, she said .
The Arebashe culture and literature is rich and should be preserved and developed. Young people should move forward under the guidance of their elders. Veena Achaiah expressed her opinion that when everyone in Kodagu comes together, it is possible to take the society towards development.
Speaking on the occasion, Sadananda Mavaji, President of the Karnataka Arebashe Samskruti and Sahitya Academy , said that the Arebashe Community Ainmane program is being organized to spread Arebashe -Language culture, tradition and folk arts.
Speaking on the occasion Sumita Kumbhagowda Kushalappa-Nangaru, Deputy Commissioner of Excise Department of Shivamogga district, said that the Arebashe Community Ainmane has its own history and the Ainmane culture and traditions of the family should be preserved and developed and younger generation should understood History, she added.
She opined that young students in Kodagu district should be able to take the competitive examination of the Central and State Government Civil Services.

The Kumbhagouda family emblem was released on the occasion. Achievers were felicitated. Jayaprakash Perumunda and his team performed Arebashe songs. A cultural program was held with RJ Trishul Kambala.
