One more person killed in elephant attack

Chellamestri (55) is  an another  unfortunate person who lost his life due to an wild elephant attack.  The incidence recently occurred during  early hours  at Emmegunda Estate, which belongs to Tata Coffee Company, near Pollibetta. It is reported that Chellamestri (55) while  on  his  walk in the  morning, was charged by a wild elephant.

After conducting  postmortem  the body was handed over  to the deceased  family. State Wildlife Board member Sanket Poovaiah  visited and after offering his  condolences to the family members, he  informed them that a compensation of Rs 20 lakhs will be offered  from the government within 2 days. Siddapur Congress Zonal President SB Pratish was  also present there.
