The State Government has selected Anita Bhaskar, Deputy Director of the Kodagu Tourism Department, for the “Best Service Award” for the year 2023.
The award was presented by the Honourable Chief Minister at the Banquet Hall of Vidhana Soudha. During her tenure as Deputy Director at the Tourism , Anita Bhaskar has played a key role in the implementation of centrally sponsored projects such as “Swadesh Darshan”, “Prasad” and “Swadesh Darshan 2.0” in Karnataka.
She has approved the ‘Coastal Master Plan’ for the tourism development of the coastal districts of Karnataka and implemented the “Blue Flag Beach” project on the Padubidri seashore (Udupi district) and developed an excellent beach.
She has played a key role in the development of St. Mary’s Island and the implementation of the “Malpe Beach Sea-Walk” project.
She has previously been honoured with the district level “Sarvottama Seva Award” in 2019 for her excellent service in Udupi district.
The state government has honoured her with the state level award given to government employees in consideration of the projects undertaken in Udupi district and at the central office and the excellent service rendered by her in the tourism department.
Anita Bhaskar is actively providing a boost to tourism in Kodagu and she regularly meets stockholders to understand issues faced by them and to assist them in promotion of tourism in Kodagu. A plaque and Rs. 50 thousand cash awarded to Anita Bhaskar at Bangalore.
