Kodava Samaja members meet CM Siddaramaiah: Request a Ministerial berth for Ponnanna

President and office bearers of Bangalore Kodava Samaja,  led by MLA and Chief Minister’s Legal Advisor A.S. Ponnanna,  recently met Chief Minister (CM)  Siddaramaiah at his residence and thanked him and the Karnataka State Government for  many benefits provided to the Bangalore Kodava Samaja.

On this occasion, leaders of Bangalore Kodava Samaja submitted a petition to the Chief Minister along with a resolution unanimously passed by the Kodava Samaja to include A.S. Ponnanna in the cabinet and give him an important Ministerial portfolio.

Speaking on the occasion, President of the Bangalore Kodava Samaja  informed the  Chief Minister, that  A.S. Ponnanna is a prominent and strong representative of the Kodava community, a sensitive minority population, who has already made a name for himself throughout the country as the Chief Minister’s legal advisor. 

 Members mentioned in the letter that the Kodava community, which is also a linguistic minority, have excelled in Sports,  Army and other important fields for centuries and A.S. Ponnanna, a representative of their community, should be given an important ministerial portfolio.
