An advocate identified as K.R. Vidyadhar (66) has been arrested by Kodagu Police in connection with the derogatory Whatsapp message posted against Field Marshal K M Cariappa and General KS Thimayya.
The arrested is a resident of Haletti village in Sullia taluk of Dakshina Kannada district. Kodagu Superintendent of Police (SP) K Ramarajan said that a case was registered at the Suntikoppa police station following a complaint regarding offensive remarks against Field Marshal KM Cariappa and General K S Thimayya.
The comments were allegedly posted on a WhatsApp group called ‘Saptasagara (Kadalu)’ from a mobile number registered in the name of Srivatsa Bhat.”
