Wide spread protest against use of derogatory words against Field Marshal K M Cariappa and General Thimayya

Widespread protest recently sparked in the district after use of derogatory language in a WhatsApp group about Field Marshal K M Cariappa and General Thimayya.

Various organisations have demanded that the accused should be sent out of the district. Many organisations, including the Kodava Samaja and the Kodagu district unit of the BJP, have filed a complaint with the Superintendent of Police in this regard.

Mysore-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar has also insisted on strict action against the accused. Kodagu Superintendent of Police K Ramarajan informed that the incident is being very serious a case has been registered and an investigation is under way.
