A meeting was held recently under the chairmanship of District guarantee schemes Implementation Committee President Dharmaja Uthappa at DC office hall, Madikeri regarding the progress of guarantee schemes of the government.
Addressing the meeting Dharmaja Uthappa, said that the government has implemented the Shakthi, Grahalkshmi, Grahajyoti, Yuvanidhi and Annabhagya schemes and directed officials that these schemes should be reached to the deserving people.
He said that it is the responsibility of the authorities to ensure that the beneficiaries are not deprived of the guarantee schemes. In this regard, he advised to deliver the guarantee schemes as per the intention of the government and added that credit will go the government when five schemes are reached to the common man and requested officials to follow up in this regard.
Dharmaja Uthappa informed in the meeting that if there are any problems in the implementation of guarantee schemes then information should be provided.
Speaking on the occasion, V.P. Sashidhara Kushalanagar Taluk Implementation Committee Chairman of Guarantee Schemes  suggested that the outstanding applications submitted under the Yuvanidhi Scheme should be passed quickly.
Speaking on the occasion, B.N. Veena, Additional Deputy Commissioner advised officials to  implement of the guarantee scheme and to provide facilities to the deserving ones within the time limit.
Kumuda Sharath, Joint Director of Food Department informed that 97,570 people are being paid under Annabhagya Yojana out of the target of 1.30 lakh in the district and 98% progress has been achieved.
Speaking on the occasion Rekha Ganapathy informed regarding Yuvanidhi scheme that Rs 3000 and Rs 1500 of unemployment allowance has been reached to the 562 eligible out of 1030 people who have registered so far.
Nataraju, Deputy Director of Women and Child Development Department, informed about the Grahalkshmi scheme that the payment has been made till June and the payment for the month of July is pending and added that 1,15,229 names have been registered under Grahalkshmi scheme in the district and 1,14,056 were the beneficiaries and 98.98% progress have been achieved.
CESC AEE Vinay Kumar said that 1,51,907 families out of 1,53,623 families have been registered under Graha Jyoti scheme in Kodagu district, a progress of 98.88% has been achieved and till the end of May and subsidy Rs 5905.30 lakhs has been given, he added.
After the inception Shakthi Yojana 62,04,618 women have travelled and Rs 24.65 crore has been credited informed KSRTC Madikeri depot manager Mehboob Ali.
