Harangi Dam…inflow increases

The inflow of water to Harangi reservoir has increased to 17,160 cusecs from 5,871 cusecs as the catchment area is receiving continuousrains.

Kodagu district has been receiving rains and Madikeri city and other parts of the district were affected by gusty winds, resulting in the fall of trees and electricity poles.

About 95 electricity poles and six houses have been damaged in the last 24 hours. Shantallihobli in Somwarpet received 11 cm of rain. Shanivarasanthe got 5 cm rains. Rainfall of 4 cm was recorded in Hudikeri and Bhagamandala each.
