In the program which was organised by the Department of Women and Child Development and Welfare of Persons with Disabilities and Senior Citizens, 10 motorized two-wheelers costing Rs.9.95 lakhs, 09 battery-operated wheel chairs Rs.8.64 lakhs, 03 laptop costing Rs.2.90 lakhs, 01 braille kit at the cost of Rs.0.25 lakhs, marriage incentive for 3 persons Rs. 1.50 lakh, 31 hearing aids costing Rs. 4 lakh, walker 2, walking stick 2, CP chair 2 and wheel chair 2 totaling Rs 27.24 lakh were distributed to differently abled persons.
MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda, Chief Minister’s Legal Adviser and MLA A.S.Ponnanna, Kodagu Deputy Commssioner Dr Venkat Raja, ZPCEO Varnith Negi, Assistant Commissioner Vinayak Narwade, Deputy Director of Women and Child Development Department Nataraju, Vimala, Officer for Disabled department and others were present on the occasion.
