House burglary case… five accused arrested after two years

Kodagu police have succeeded in arresting five accused after two years in connection with the house burglary case.  It is reported that on June 8, 2022 at 8.30 am, unknown masked persons entered the house of Thangappan K K, a resident of Channangi under Siddapur police station, assaulted and threatened Thangappan and his wife and stole Rs.2 lakh and a gold chain weighing 8 grams from the house. A case was registered in this regard at Siddapur police station.

The police who conducted the investigation have arrested Lavakumar M K (51) resident of  Channangi, Vinod H C (45) of Attur, Anish P S (33) of Ayyappa Betta near Virajpet, Praveen Kumar (46) of Attur and Rafiq K E (45) of Bhadragola. The police have seized Rs.60 thousand cash, 7.9 grams of gold chain, the car used for the crime and another car bought with the stolen money from the accused. 

A special investigation team including DySP Madikeri Division Mahesh Kumar, Madikeri town Circle CPI Raju P K, PSI Raghavendra Halappa R S, Siddapur Police Station staff, DCRB and technical staff conducted the operation. 

Kodagu District Superintendent of Police (SP) K. Ramarajan appreciated the efficiency of the police officers and staff and congratulated them.
