It has been reported that Kodagu police arrested a 23-year-old woman Bindu on the charges of murdering her mother-in- law Aimanda Poovamma (73) at Maragodu in Madikeri taluk.
Prasanna, Bindu’s husband is said to have been at evaluation work in Madikeri recently and it is said that the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law argued over breakfast. On getting angry, Bindu had allegedly hit Poovamma’s head with her mobile phone and left the room and it is reported that Poovamma died of excessive bleeding, informed police. But Bindu informed all that her mother-in- law died after collapsing accidentally .
Prasanna filed a complaint with the police after noticing some behavioral changes in his wife. The police after investigation arrested Bindu. A case has been registered at Madikeri Rural Police station and a investigation is going on.
