Sports and cultural activity academy(SACAA) organised the first Junior Seeding Badminton Tournament in Coorg.
The tournament was organised to motivate kids who are studying in Coorg(Kodagu) district. More than 50 children participated in the event which was a league format.
Our Honurable MLA Mr. Ponnanna and Karate champion (International level ),Ex MLC Mr.Arun Machaiah had a Stopover at SACAA – Sports and Cultural Academy, Bittangala,played badminton with budding young kids.
Mr. Ponnanna has extended support by assuring scholarship to talented kids of Kodagu District through his trust.
SACAA is an academy which was started 6 months back at Bittangala to support the rural kids who are deprived of opportunities towards sports and cultural activity.
The tournament was supported by Vamshi Merla & Senior Advocate, Mallangada Rakesh, Decathlon & Treknomads, with guidance from CDBA. Veteran players Padikal Santhosh, Mr Sandeep,Jump Smash academy owner Sharath were present, they offered their valuable advice & suggestions to young ones.
SACAA is motivated to conduct three tournaments and a championship event during the year 2024.

This is a great initiative to bring to the region. Seeing some of the names in the players list makes me feel good and positive about the success of SACAA. Wish for this initiative to spread everywhere and the rural talent grows and get support for a better future.
