Surveyor H. Mahadev Gowda, was arrested by Lokayukta officials from the office of the Assistant Director of Land Records of Somwarpet Taluk recently on charges of accepting bribe. H. Mahadev Gowda, who is facing the charge of taking bribe, has been investigated.
It has been reported that Akram Pasha, a resident of Hemmanevillage, recently filed an application for file disposal regarding the land belonging to him. It is alleged that H. Mahadev Gowda demanded a bribe of Rs. 5 thousand in this connection it is said that the Lokayuktapolice raided while Rs four thousand was being accepted as bribe. Earlier one thousand was given to Surveyor H. Mahadev Gowda as an advance by Akram Pasha. Under the guidance of Lokayukta Police Director Prashant Kumar Thakur, Inspector General of Police Subramaneshwara Rao, Lokayukta Superintendent V G Sajeeth, Kodagu Lokayukta Deputy Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar, Lokayukta Circle Inspector Lokesh and staff conducted the raid operation.
