Give priority to Drinking Water…Dr Venkat Raja

Kodagu Deputy Commissioner (DC)Dr Venkat Raja addressing a meeting of concerned officials in his office hall suggested that necessary precautions should be taken to prevent drinking water problem in the city, town and rural areas in the coming days in the District. DC further said that there should not be any disruption in supply of drinking water and fodder for cattle. The concerneddepartments should coordinate with Tahsildars and TP EOs to provide drinking water. He also directed that drinking water resources such as water bodies, open wells, borewells must be used properly and care should be taken in maintaining clean water. Speaking on the occasion LingarajuDodamani, Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry Department, gave information regarding fodder supply, and Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department EE Suresh Kumar gave information regarding drinking water supply in rural areas. Joint Director of Agriculture Department Somasundara, Tehsildars Praveen Kumar, Kiran Gouraiah, Ramachandra, as well as TP EOs Shekhar, Appanna gave information about the supply and present stock situation of drinking water. Additional Deputy Commissioner B N Veena, Deputy Divisional Officer Vinayak Narvade, GP Deputy Secretary Dhanraj, Urban Development Planning Branch Director B. Basappa, Madikeri City Municipal Commissioner Vijay, Kushalanagar Municipality Chief Krishnaprasad, Somwarpet Town Panchayat Chief Nachappa, Hemanth Kumar, Public Works Department E E. Siddegowda, Labor Officer Harshvardhan were present in the meeting.
