Comments:

The first phase of Census 2027 commenced on April 1, with the district administration facilitating India’s first digital census in two phases.

Residents have been provided the option of self-enumeration from April 1 to April 15 through the official portal. The process allows citizens to complete household data entry within 15-20 minutes and generate a Self-Enumeration ID.

District Census Officer and Additional Deputy Commissioner R. Aishwarya stated that all information collected will remain confidential and will not be used for taxation or audit purposes.

Authorities have urged residents to participate actively, noting that enumerators will later verify the submitted data. Assistance materials, including user guides and flow charts, are available online.
