Karnataka Chief Minister’s Political Secretary and Virajpet MLA Ajjikuttira S. Ponnanna participated in and addressed the Kail Muhurtha (Kailpodh) Jambara – 2026 celebrations organised by the Kodagu Gowda Samaja of Bengaluru.
Speaking on the occasion, Ponnanna said that the Arebhashe Gowda community of Kodagu has a distinctive and unique cultural heritage. He said the community’s efforts to preserve and promote the art and culture of its people and the land should be welcomed by everyone.
Ponnanna also stated that the Arebhashe Gowda community had made significant contributions to the State.
Leaders of the Kodagu Gowda Samaja had raised several issues and concerns, he said, assuring them through the platform that their representations would be conveyed to the appropriate authorities.
Ponnanna said Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar was continuously working for the welfare of the people without wasting a minute. He said the Chief Minister had taken upon himself the responsibility of listening to and addressing the problems of people across the State.He further stated that Cheif Minister Shivakumar was working for public service round the clock, setting aside considerations of his health and family life, with the aspiration of leaving a lasting legacy through his service to the people.
The people of the State should join hands with the Chief Minister in his efforts, Ponnanna said, adding that the love and trust of the people are crucial in a democratic system. If the people extend their support and confidence, the government would be able to undertake more development and welfare initiatives, he said.
