The 39th annual general meeting of the Ponnampet Kodava Samaja was held under the chairmanship of Kodava Samaja president Kalimada M. Motayya. Incentive cash awards were distributed to meritorious students at the meeting.
Around 600 members who attended the general meeting offered suggestions and assured necessary cooperation for the development of the Kodava Samaja and its future activities.
Incentive awards were distributed to students of Appacha Kavi Vidyalaya, an affiliated institution of the Kodava Samaja, who secured the highest marks from Classes 7 to 10. Among the children of Kodava Samaja members, Nellimada T. Siddhant Kaverappa, who secured 99.2 %Â in the Class 10 examination; Katimada D. Bhashith, who secured 99.33%Â in the science stream of PUC; and Ajjikuttira M. Jash Kaveriyappa, who secured the highest marks in the commerce stream, were also given prizes and encouraged.
Kodava Samaja vice-president Chiriyapanda Immi Uttappa, honorary secretary Koter Kishan Uttappa, joint secretary Aleamada D. Sudheer, treasurer Cheppudira A. Kariappa, permanent invitee director Chappudira P. Kittu Aiyappa, directors Koniyanda Sanju Somaiah, Kallichanda Devaiah, Ajjikuttira M. Prithvi Subbayya, Addanda C. Prakash Kushalappa, Mookaler Kavya Kaveriamma and Gummattira G. Gangamma, along with the president of the Nyayapeetha, an affiliated body of the Kodava Samaja, Chiriyapanda K. Uttappa, Appacha Kavi Vidyalaya president Ponnimada S. Suresh and Sports and Recreation Club president Cheppudira M. Ponnappa were present.
