Woman’s Body Found in Car at Lingapur Check Post

A woman’s body was discovered in a car during a routine inspection by forest personnel at the Lingapur check post under Maldare Gram Panchayat limits recently.

The deceased has been identified as Nankidevi (45), originally from Haryana and residing in Mysuru with her husband. Siddapur Police have detained three individuals, including her husband Rakesh Kumar, for questioning. The case has now been transferred to the Metagalli Police Station, Mysuru for further investigation.

Forest personnel, who were carrying out their usual checks, found the woman’s body inside the vehicle. They immediately alerted Siddapur Police, who arrived at the spot and took the occupants into custody.

Preliminary interrogation revealed that the husband claimed he was taking his wife to Madikeri Hospital after she allegedly attempted suicide by hanging. Police have registered a case of suspicious death.
