Madikeri MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda has directed officials to submit within one week a comprehensive report on basic amenities required for Kadamkal village under Galibidu Panchayat, the last village in the Madikeri Assembly constituency.
Dr. Gowda, accompanied by officials from the Revenue, Rural Development, Chescom and Forest Departments, conducted a grievance meeting with residents and gathered information about their issues. He instructed officials to take necessary action regarding house and land records, drinking water supply, tank construction, electricity upgrades, road works, resolving border disputes with the Forest Department, and ration distribution.

Villagers stated that this was the first time an MLA had visited with officials to address their concerns, and they enthusiastically submitted their grievances. With a population of around 200-mostly daily wage labourers-residents find it extremely difficult to travel 80 km via Sullia to reach the district headquarters, Madikeri. Dr. Gowda assured them that access to government facilities is a fundamental right and promised sincere efforts to provide necessary amenities.
Madikeri Block Congress President H.A. Hamsa, Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Raj District President Thennira Maina, Zone President Subhash Alva, and leaders Pushpa Poonachha, V.G. Mohan, Kochan Hariprasad, Hamchettira Manu Muddappa, Apru Ravindra, Kiran, Roshan Ganapathy, Prabhurai, Ravi Gowda, along with officials and villagers, were present.
