Sainik School Kodagu celebrated Children’s Day on 14 November 2025 with the inspiring theme “Guardians of Tomorrow – Nurturing Young Minds for a Sustainable Future.” The occasion brought together cadets, staff, officers and families to honour the spirit of childhood and reinforce the school’s vision of moulding responsible, future-ready citizens.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the youngest cadets-Cadet K. Anvitha and Cadet Puneeth of Class VI-symbolising enlightenment, hope and the promising future of young guardians. They were accompanied by Principal Col Amarjeet Singh, Administrative Officer Wg Cdr Prakash Rao, Vice Principal, Sqn Ldr Mohammad Shaji, First Lady of the Campus Mrs Divya Singh, Mrs Shalini Rao, and the Senior Master.
A vibrant and thought-provoking series of cultural performances was presented by both teaching and non-teaching staff. In a heart-warming highlight of the day, teachers joyfully exhibited the ‘childishness’ within them, tapping into their own childhood spirit to spark creativity and enthusiasm. Their performances beautifully aligned with the school’s motto and vision, reminding cadets that learning thrives in an environment of joy, imagination and openness.

An entertaining quiz further engaged the cadets, and those who answered correctly were honoured on stage, fostering curiosity, confidence and mindful participation. Snack stalls around the venue enhanced the festive atmosphere, offering cadets moments of relaxation, fun and bonding.
In his inspiring address, Principal Col Amarjeet Singh reminded the cadets that they are the “guardians of tomorrow.” He emphasised that teachers play the role of alchemists in their journey and encouraged cadets to embrace the alchemy of gratitude, guidance and balance to build a meaningful, sustainable and successful future.
School Cadets’ Captain Cadet Hriday expressed heartfelt gratitude to all staff members for organising the celebration with such warmth and creativity. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Zakir Husain, acknowledging the collective effort behind the day’s success.
The enthusiastic presence of cadets, staff and families made the Children’s Day celebration a vibrant, joyful and inspiring affair, reaffirming the school’s commitment to nurturing young minds for a brighter, sustainable future.
