PRIVATE TUITIONS: BOON OR BANE?

Date:

Comments:

There always will be a portion of students who will be lacking academically and will not be capable enough to perform well as compared to their smarter and more intellectual capable peers . This is a point where such students may choose private tuitions as a safe and effective option to ace their exams. The basic and most important aspect of private tuition, us to help and aid students overcome the hurdles to the problem they are regularly facing while studying the subject. This is the major boon for private tuitions because,  for a fact, students will pick up the subject or understand the topic more rapidly in which they are already weak or left behind. From this view point, tuition provides help beyond their academic grades.

If you have missed critical learning of the basic portions,  and your teacher is unable to spare enough time to help you get back on track, you need tuition to cover the deficiency. However, tuition takes away time that kids should be playing, relaxing, doing  extra circular activities, all of which is very necessary for a child’s development. Moreover, private tuitions makes the kid think that he or she need not concentrate in the class since  it will be covered in the tuition class.   It is a better learning exercise for kids to learn on their own rather than  be spoon fed. In fact marks should never be criteria of making any decisions.  They are only indicators of achievement not a total measure of internalization of a subject.

Private tuitions not only make you dependent, as a result your self learning abilities are fading away. Moreover the methods being taught differ from the students regular teaching. The demand for private tuitions can be attributed to several socio cultural factors. Our students are pressured to excel in high- stakes examinations such as board exams and competitive entrance tests. Parents place a high value on education, viewing it as a means of social mobility and economic security, which drives them to invest in private tuitions. This trend requires comprehensive reforms in the education system, including curriculum changes, better teacher training, and personalized learning approaches.

By strengthening the regular education system and promoting alternative learning methods, our country can reduce its reliance on private tuitions and ensure equitable access to quality education, for all students.

Childhood is the most precious time in a kids life. Do not make them waste it running behind false goals that ” you” have set for them. Let them enjoy the Childhood to the fullest.
