Boppanda Diya Bheemaiah felicitated for her badminton achievements

At a function recently held at the Karnataka Badminton Association in Bengaluru, Boppanda. Diya from Kodagu was felicitated for her outstanding performance in badminton last year.

Diya was the first ranked player in the sub-junior category of Karnataka and won a gold medal representing the Karnataka team at the SGFI held in Madhya Pradesh. She represented Karnataka in the sub-junior and junior category national games.

She won a silver and a bronze medal in the sub-junior category held in Chennai. Representing the national team, she participated in the Asian Badminton Championship which was held at China. She won second and third positions in a series tournament held in Nepal. She is at present  studying in second PUC at Vidyashrama College, Mysore and is training under Medura Arun Pemmaiah at the Sports Park in Mysore.
