Due to the deteriorating situation in Shri Maha Mrityunjaya Temple over the issue of dress code controversy, the district administration has extended prohibitory order. The gathering of more than 5 people in groups, protests, processions, rallies, congregations and raising provocative slogans, has been prohibited by the district administration, as per the powers vested under Section 163 within five kilometres of Kattemadu temple. The district administration extended the ban for a long period as the problem was not resolved.
