K P Ranjith wins the coveted open title

4th edition of Muckatira Cariappa Memorial Golf Championship was recently held at Mercara Downs Golf Club (MDGC). Around 66 golfers participated in this prestigious event in the calendar of MDGC.

K P Ranjith won the coveted open strokeplay event with a gross score of 77. Vikranth K U was declared the runner up with a gross score of 79.

Prize distribution ceremony was held at the club house of MDGC. Chief Guest of the event Mrs Muthu Cariappa and Pavan Nanjappa were present on the dais along with the captain of the club I K Anil and Hon Secretary of the club Harish Appanna and Tournament Committee Chairman K P Ranjith.

I K Anil welcomed the gathering and thanked the Muckatira family for organising the tournament at MDGC. Pavan Nanjappa spoke on the occasion and said that he was glad to host the tournament at MDGC.Harish Appanna announced the names of the winners.

Mrs Muthu Cariappa, Pavan Nanjappa, Darshan Karumbaiah, Kavitha Karumbaiah, Shilpa Nanjappa gave away the prizes. Shilpa Nanjappa was honoured on the occasion by MDGC for her contribution and achievement in Bharatanatyam. K P Ranjith proposed the vote of thanks.
