Cooperation Minister K N Rajanna chairing a review meeting at the DCC Bank auditorium with Cooperative Department officials, emphasised the importance of collective efforts to ensure the sustainability of primary cooperative societies in the district. He further stressed the critical role the cooperative societies play in supporting farmers.
The minister further said that cooperative societies are the backbone of farmers, and everyone must work towards strengthening them. Their survival directly benefits the farming community, he added.
The minister encouraged proposals for establishing primary agricultural credit cooperative societies in gram panchayat areas where necessary. He also noted that Kodagu district has 74 cooperative societies, with four of them
