MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda, speaking after participating in the Civil Workers’ Day celebrations at Ambedkar Bhawan recently which was conducted by City Municipal Council (CMC) appreciated the efforts of the civic workers for the cleanliness of Madikeri, for getting name one of the important cities/towns with clean air and good environment in the country.
MLA also said that Civil servants should be respected in public life and added that civil servants should try to make their living like others.
Dr Gowda suggested that civil servants should give more emphasis on health and education of children along with career.
There is no doubt that civil servants are the backbone of town, city and metropolitan corporations. Dr. Mantar Gowda said that they work hard for the development of the city and town without taking leave during the vacation period also.
Speaking further he said that housing facility will be provided to civil servants under Graha Bhagya Yojana and in this regard, housing facility will be provided soon and added that sincere efforts will be made to provide basic facilities to civil servants.
Kodagu Deputy Commissioner (DC) and CMC Administrative Officer Dr Venkat Raja also participated in the civic workers’ day and spoke on the occasion.
MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda distributed uniform to civil servants on the occasion of civil servants’ day and prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions.
MUDA Authority Chairman Rajesh Yallappa, City Council Member Mansoor, Nominated Members Muthuraj, Jagadish, Sadamuddappa, CMC Ex-President H.M.Nadakumar, Madikeri City Development Authority Member Chandrasekhar, Civil Service Employees Association President Satish, Municipal Commissioner H M Ramesh, sanitation workers Ramu, Lakshmi, Meenakshi, Municipal Engineer Satish, Hemant Kumar, Tahir and others were present on the occasion.
