Husband kills wife and surrendered to the police

A former member of the Gram Panchayat (GP) Shilpa Seethamma (40) was shot dead recently by her husband, accused Nayakanda Bopanna (45).

It is reported that this incident took place when Nayakanda Bopanna objected after Shilpa received a phone call in the night and there was a fight over this issue and in the morning for the same issue accused Nayakanda Bopanna killed Shilpa. After committing the murder, Bopanna surrendered to the police station along with the gun.

Shilpa Seethamma served as Betoli GP member from 2012 to 2017. Virajpet police visited the incident spot and conducted an investigation. A case has been registered inVirajpet rural police station.
