Polio cases on the rise is a matter of concern…PDG Dr. Ravi Appaji

In a recent press release PDG Dr. Ravi Appaji informed that this week three Wild Polio Virus Cases have been reported from Afghanistan. Globally 17 Cases were reported as against 12 in 2023. From Pakistan 8 cases have been reported while 9 cases were reported from Afghanistan.

Dr. Ravi Appaji further informed that we have to be very careful and see that every child gets polio drops without fail so that it will help to keep India Polio free.  The release further stated that though India was declared Polio free by WHO, we have to be more vigilant because of the rise in these neighboring countries.
