The Karnataka Media Academy has invited journalists to submit entries for various endowment awards for the year 2025, instituted by several media organisations.
The awards include:
‘Abhimani Award’ (by Abhimani Prakashan, Bengaluru) for articles highlighting social issues in Kannada newspapers.
‘Mysore Diganta Award’ (by Mysore Diganta, Mysuru) for reports reflecting humanitarian concerns.
‘Abhimanyu Award’ (by Abhimanyu Newspaper, Bengaluru) for outstanding writing in support of oppressed communities.
‘Praja Sandesh Endowment Award’ (by Praja Sandesh, Bengaluru) for impactful reporting on exploitation-related issues.
Each award carries a cash prize of ?10,000.                               Eligible journalists may submit one published article or report (between January 1 and October 25, 2025) from Kannada dailies, weeklies, or television news channels, carrying their byline. If a byline is absent, a confirmation letter from the editor of the concerned publication must be enclosed.                   Entries should be clearly labelled with the award category – ‘Abhimani Award-2025’, ‘Mysore Diganta Award-2025’, ‘Abhimanyu Award-2025’, or ‘Praja Sandesh Datti Award-2025’ – and sent by November 12 to:
