The much-awaited Kodava Samaja Mysore Election 2025 concluded successfully with an impressive 1,829 members casting their votes!
In the Presidential race, Ponjanda Ganapathy secured 1,105 votes, while Mallachira Ponnappa received 684 votes — a winning margin of 421 votes.
For the post of Hon. Secretary, Ketolira A. Belliappa emerged victorious with 1,201 votes, ahead of Balekuttira Poonacha, who received 515 votes — a comfortable lead of 686 votes.
In the contest for Hon. Treasurer, Kottangada Pemmaiah won with 1,046 votes, while Ittira Kashiyappa secured 671 votes, marking a winning margin of 375 votes.

The elections at The Mysore. Kodava Samaja was conducted with better sense and protocol as compared with the vitriolic behaviour in Bangalore.
However, for a relatively small community that we are, who are perceived to have great unity in everything that we do, why can’t there be “consensus” candidates without having to waste time in conducting elections? If the longer term agenda for the Community and location is understood and endorsed by the majority, considering that only 1829 members actually voted, surely this shouldn’t be a problem!

The Mysore Kodava Samaja elections have ended, and members have elected those who have worked hard for development and been positive all through. What is most appreciable is that the members have reposed total faith in the PERFORMING TEAM and given them a thumping margin of victory thus asserting clear faith in their work for KODAVAAME. With such HUGE margin of win also comes HUGE RESPONSIBILITY for the winning candidates.
