Madikeri – Elections were recently held by the Dashamantapa Committee for the post of Madikeri Dasara Committee Working President.  Four aspirants contested the election, with voting conducted by the Dashamantapa Committee President along with Presidents of ten Temples and Karaga Chiefs. The results were: B.K. Arun Kumar – 6 votes, Jagadish – 4 votes, T.M. Ayyappa – 1 vote, and Jayanti Shetty – 3 votes. With the majority, B.K. Arun Kumar was elected as the Working President.
