A man lost his life in a wild elephant attack in Balale. The incident occurred around this week, when Ajay, a resident of Ponnappasanthe, encountered a wild elephant while riding his bicycle. He managed to escape, abandoning his bicycle.
Tragically, the elephant then attacked another man who was walking along the same road. He died on the spot.
Forest officials arrived at the scene shortly after, conducted an inspection, and have initiated further action.
