Virajpet MLA A.S. Ponnanna, also the Legal Advisor to the Chief Minister, inaugurated the construction of a retaining wall at the Amma Kodava Samaja Hall in Gonikoppal. The project, funded with a Rs. 2 crore grant, aims to prevent soil erosion and protect the structure.
The MLA announced an additional Rs. 20 lakhs for further development. Kodagu District Guarantee Implementation Committee President Dharmaja Uthappa, Block Congress President Miderira Naveen, Town Congress President Pramod Ganapathy, Amma Kodava Samaja President Bananda Prithu, Naliyamanda Umesh, Panchayat Vice-President Manjula, party leaders, society representatives, and department officials attended the event.
