Dharmaja Uthappa, District President of the Guarantee Schemes Implementation Committee, has warned of strict action against those selling Annabhagya rice on the black market. At a review meeting in Madikeri ZP Hall, he stated that Annabhagya rice must reach eligible beneficiaries and instructed authorities to investigate instances of misuse.

He announced that inspection teams have been formed and that owners found holding ration cards or engaged in malpractices would be punished under the Public Distribution System regulations. The initiative aims to ensure that the benefits of state schemes reach the intended recipients.
Members B.D. Annaiah and Kantaraju spoke about issues in ration distribution and called for prompt action. Committee Vice-Chairman K.C. Bhimaiah, Nasir, Sundar, K.M. Bashir, Mustafa, Dhanya, Kantaraju, Mandira Mohandas, Johnson, Kalimada Prashanth, ZP Deputy Secretary Abdul Nabi, Deputy Director of the Women and Child Development Department TippannaSirasagi, Food and Civil Supplies Officer Veena, and other officials were present.
