Kodava Samaja Pommakkada Okkoota (KSPO) celebrates international women’s day recently with great exuberant and zeal at Kodava Samaja Madikeri.

Okkoota President Kavitha Bollappa presided over the women’s day program which featured a vibrant cultural performances, sports, felicitations of achievers and inspiring speeches by the esteemed guests. Kodava Samaja President Manduvanda P  Muthappa and Former Member Legislative Council( MLC) Shantheyanda Veena Achaiah inagurated the function with elegance and poise.

Women’s day program was graced by the Chief guests and visionary resourceful speakers, retired Professor Kalengada Shalifa SDMC College Ujire and Professor Dr Theethira Rekha Vasanth Yuvaraja College Mysore their presence added depth and value to the celebration by their insightful speeches on the importance of preserving Kodava culture while embracing modern advancements.

They spoke the role of youth in shaping the society, urging youths to strive for excellence in every endeavor.

Eminent achievers are

  1. Jury Member, District Juvenile Justice Board and Legal Consultant Sannuvanda Usha Aiyanna
  2. Teacher and  Master of Ceremonies Chokira Anita Devaiah

3.Officer, District  Women and Children Department Mepadanda Savitha Keerthan, were honored for their remarkable contributions in various fields.

The event also recognised the outstanding young talents,1.Muccatira Dechamma Subramani, 2.Kannanda Verna Ponnappa, 3.Achappanda Perlin Uthappa 4.Chenanda Raksha Muthamma who achieved  national level success

A key highlight of the event was the introduction  of the eminent achievers… Paleyada Roopa Subbaiah, Kalengada Savithri, Chottanda Divya Pradeep,

Odianda Jancy, Boppanda Sarala Karumbaiah, Pattada Prema  and Kannanda Sunitha read out the Bio data of these achievers emphasising their exceptional accomplishments.

On the Dias Kodava Samaja Vice President Kekada  Viju Devaiah, KSPO Senior Advisory member Kalianda Saraswathi, Secretary Juna Vijaya, Treasurer Ulliada Sachitha Nanjappa,Joint Secretary Chetranda Vasanthi Poonacha were present to grace the occasion.

Paleyada Kavya commenced the program reciting a heartfelt prayer, Muccatira Ponnamma Senior Advisory Member KSPO delivered the welcome speech,  Juna Vijay secretary presented the Annual report highlighting the KSPOs achievements and initiatives  over the past years fallowed by Moovera Sarithas  cultural report showcasing the rich cultural heritage and excellent contributions of okkoota women, the graceful compering by Chokira Anita Devaiah kept the audience engaged throughout and the women’s day program  concluded with  vote of thanks by Chetranda  Vasanthi Poonacha.
